Description

½ cup shortening / butter
¼ cup brown sugar
Cream together, mix 1 egg yolk, ½ teaspoon vanilla. Stir and sift 1 cup flour sifted flour, ¼ salt. Roll in balls and dip in slightly beaten egg whites and roll in ground nuts. Place on ungreased sheet. Bake 5 minutes at 375 degrees, take out and make thumb print return to oven for 8 minutes - Than cool add jelly. Makes 3 oz. Punch whole in the cloth with ice p
