Armenian Easter Cherag

5 pds Gold Medal Flour1 lb Crisco
1 ½ lb butter (not sweet)
2 cups sugar, if sweeter add ½
Blend, Crisco into flour well and add more sugar –
3 yeast (whey)
one 6 extra large eggs (beaten)
2 cups cold milk
Melt butter until its melted, than add cold milk to the hot butter. Rest to lukewarm - If lukewarm add beaten eggs to liquid -
3 yeast is put in ½ cup lukewarm water with 1 T sugar to get active.
When all this is ready put flour in a large container, like making Armenian bread – Pour half pour lukewarm liquid in water and some of yeast and knead and then put the rest of liquid and yeast and knead all together well. Cover with wax paper and cloth towel and wrap well with blankets overnight. Keep warm oven Braid in medium size and put in ungreased cookie sheet and let it rise well and bake in 375 degree oven – This makes about 100 of them.
