Description
Bake at 350 degrees for 70-80 minutes
Combine ½ cup sifted flour, 1 ½ cups mix candied fruit, ½ cup nuts (chopped)
Prepare - grease and flour pan. Bottom and sides.
Spread - 1 tbsp. butter over bottom of pan- sprinkle with 1/3 cup brown sugar.
Drain - 1. No. 2 can pineapple and place pineapple slices on sugar. Fill each center with a cherry.
Sift together - 2 cups sifted flour,3 tsp double acting baking powder, 1 tsp salt.
Add to the flour and beat - 1 ½ cup sugar, ½ cup shortening, ¾ cup pineapple juice.
Add- 3 eggs and beat
Blend in- Fruit nuts- Mix well-
Pour- Batter over pineapple slices and bake-cool in pan a few minutes and turn up-side down on platter.
