Description
*1 cup salad oil
1 cube butter (melted)
1 cup water (tap)
1 tsp. black seeds
1 tsp. mahleb
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder (rounded)
6 cups or less (or 5-1/2) flour
Pour all liquids together, add sugar +
baking powder to flour, then together into
the liquid.
Knead in a sort of rolling motion. Divide into
4 mounds + let sit 15 min.
With hands make a rope about 14" and flatten with
hands (3" wide). Use rolling pin + roll out (to 1/8"
thick). Cut with potatoe cutter after you brush with
egg + plenty of sesame seeds.
Bake in a hot oven 350° - 10 min. on bottom + 10 min.
on top shelf.
*Try with 1/2 cup oil, because it tastes too oily.
