Description
Boil 1 cup of sugar with 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar, 1/4 cup boiling water, bring to 240° F on candy thermometer or until a little syrup in cold water forms a soft ball.
Add 1 1/2 cups walnuts or mixed nuts. Cool, add 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract and stir until nuts are coated.
Turn onto flat surface, separate, cool.
