CHICKEN PIE
2 Cups of Chicken
1 Cup of Carrots
1 Cup of Peas
2 Cups of Gravy
½ t. Salt
½ t. Pepper
Combine the chicken, carrots, peas, salt, and pepper. Pour the gravy and cool. Cover with plain pastry, in which several incisions have been made for outlet of steam and gases.
CHICKEN GRAVY
4 T. fat
4 T. flour
2 Cups stock
Salt and pepper
Brown the flour in the fat; add 2 cups stock in which giblets, neck, and tips of wings have been cooked. Cook 5 minutes, season with salt and pepper, then strain.
