7 or 8 small oranges 4 c sugar 4 c vinegar (apple cider Heinz) 1 stick cinnamon ½ T whole cloves
Put cinnamon and cloves in cloth tie. Cook with vinegar and sugar slice oranges in ¼ slices.
First, pllace sliced oranges in pan boil slowly uncovered 15 min. Pour off water. Put cold water on and repeat for 15 min. Pour off the water and cook in vinegar and sugar and spices. Simmer for 55 min. cover with partial lid open. Oranges should become transparent. Pack in the jars.
