Aunt Marie’s Cinnamon Rolls
Description
Makes 2 9x9 inch panes1) Dissolve 1 pkg yeast in ¾ cup warm – set aside.
2) Beat 2 eggs, add 1/3 cup sugar.
3) Scald ¾ cup milk. Cool.
4) Add yeast mixture to milk and eggs with sugar. Beat with egg beater.
5) Put 4 cups flour in a bowl. Make a hole in center of flour and pour in egg mixture. Let stand 1 hour, then beat up with a fork. 6) Add ¾ to 1 cube mayonnaise melted. Stir up mixture.
7) Cover and refrig. Dough for 3 hours or overnight.
8) Melt ½ cube butter or marg in each baking pan.
9) Melt 1 cube marg and spread on rolled out dough. Sprinkle ½ - ¾ cup of sugar with cinnamon over buttered dough. Roll up and slice into 1 – 1 ½ inch slices.
10) Dip each slice into baking dish to coat. Lie slice down flat. Let rise for ¾ hour
11) Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 min or until nicely browned.
