Description
1 ¼ c. all purpose flour
¼ c. sugar
½ c. butter
Combine flour and sugar in mixing bowl. Cut in butter. Press into ungreased 9"x13" pan. Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes until light brown. Spread with warm topping. Cool. Press in ½ c. chocolate morsels into topping.
Chocolate Crunch Topping
⅓ c. butter
¾ c. sugar
1 (6 oz.) pkg chocolate morsels
¼ c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. quick-rolled oats
1 c. chopped walnuts
½ c. chopped prunes or raisins
Melt butter in 2 qt. saucepan. Add sugar, ½ c. morsels, and milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients.
Bake at 400° for 12-15 minutes. Makes 4 dozen bars.
