Description
Mix all dry ingredients together in a large pan. Egg + milk should be room temperature. Heat slightly margarine with 1 heaping Tbsp crisco. Dissolve yeast in 1 cup tepid water.
Make hole in flour mixture and knead all together for 20 minutes. Adding flour as you need to get dough off hands. Finish with a little oil on hands to clean and over the top of dough, so you will not have a hard crust. Cover with wet paper and dish towel and place in warm oven overnight. 400° oven. Make braids and let rest 1 hr. Bake 1st tray on bottom until it starts to color. Then on top shelve and bake another pan until golden brown. Place on wire racks to cool.
