Description
7 cups flour
2- ¾ lb. margarine, melted
5 teaspoons baking powder
2 eggs
2 c. spry (½ butter ½ spry)
1-½ c. sugar
1 cup half milk, half water
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg to brush the tops
Sesame seeds
4 eggs for dip (we believe that this is for dipping simit so sesame seeds stick)
Make medium light dough. Do not knead much. Pinch off portions of dough and roll under hand until ½ inch thick. Cut into 4-inch long pieces, dip into beaten egg and place on baking sheet. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the tops. Bake in 350° oven until browned.
Buttered pan. 1 lb sesame seeds.
Rest 10 mins ½ thick ½ strip
Milk to make soft.
