Great toasted & for sandwiches :)
Dissolve 1 pkg dry yeast in ¼ c luke warm water. In large bowl combine 1 c luke warm cottage cheese w 2 T sugar, 1 T each butter + chopped onions, 2 t or more dill weed, 1t salt + ¼ t baking soda, 1 egg slightly beaten and yeast mixture. Add gradually 2 ¼ - 2 ½ c flour to make a stiff dough * Beat after each addition. Cover bowl, let rise in warm place (85-90°) for 50-60 minutes or until double in bulk. Punch down, turn onto board + knead a little. [Place in greased 1 ½ - 2 Qt. casserole (round) OR I divide into 2 balls and place side by side in a bread pan] Let rise 40-50 minutes or until light. Bake 350° 40-50 minutes. Brush finished bread with soft butter on top + sprinkle w a bit of salt.
