Description
2 cups stale bread cubes
1 quart scalded milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup melted butter
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 t. salt
1 t. vanilla
few gratings of nutmeg
Soak bread cubes in milk. Set aside until cool; add other ingredients. Bake 1 hour in buttered pudding dish in
moderately slow oven (325°F)
