Open Face Cheese Borag
Description
1 lb. fresh dough Filling: - can be prepared day ahead leaving out eggs until baking day.1/2 lb. (2 cups) muenster cheese cut small
1/4 lb. (1 cup) mild cheddar cheese shredded
1/2 cup finely chopped parsley
3 eggs - beaten
On floured surface roll out dough to measure 14 1/2" x 10 1/2" Place in greased baking dish or pan 9 1/2 x 13 1/2" making sure dough goes up sides of pan about an inch. Let dough rise for 1/2 hr. Preheat oven at 325" - first spread muenster cheese over dough, then cheddar cheese, then chopped parsley. -- Pour beaten eggs over all this. Bake in oven at 325 (2nd rack from bottom) and bake for 25 mins, or until sides and bottom are slightly browned. Remove from oven and cool completely. Cut into desired size. If borag is frozen, preheat oven to 300 - heat borag for about 20-25 mins.
