Grease pan. Butter every third layer. Do not butter the layer where walnuts are put Continue until pan is done Render butter and make the fat half Crisco and half butter Pour over cut paklava when fat is hot and put in oven at 400 degrees when slightly showing a tint of color on the edge. Then turn oven temperature at 350 degrees and add second part of shortening very hot and put in oven immediately. When done remove one piece from the corner of pan and tilt pan and drain fat.
