Description
These plaster fresco panels originally had pastel coloration and were created by the noted Boston artist, Giragos der Garabedian in the early 1920s for the walls of the Mooradian home at 545 Church Street in Whitinsville. Giragos had a studio and gallery on Newbury St. for many years and eventually married Zarouhi's cousin, the daughter of Abdal Boghosian. The panels were a "thank you" for allowing him to live with them in Whitinsville for a period of time on his arrival in the US.
