Description
¾ cup sugar
1/3 cup Crisco Oil
1 egg
½ cup milk
1- ½ cups sifted regular flour
2 teaspoons double-acting baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
Combine sugar, Crisco Oil and egg. Add milk and beat thoroughly.
Stir in combined dry ingredients.
Beat until smooth.
Spread in a greased 9-inch square pan.
Sprinkle with Streusel topping (recipe below).
Bake at 375° for 30-35 minutes,
Streusel Topping
1/2 cup light brown sugar
2 tablespoons regular flour
2 tablespoons Crisco oil
2 teaspoons cinnamon
½ cup of finely chopped walnuts
Combine all ingredients with a fork. Sprinkle on batter.
Makes one 9-inch square cake.
